Ralph is a Partner at Praeger Ellem Solicitors and offers his services in his specialty area of property and projects.  With over 30 years providing legal practice to the property and projects sector and membership of the Law Society Property Committee, Ralph’s expertise is extensive with clients from a broad range of property sectors.

Project Developments
Ralph’s reputation for being one of the best and most experienced property solicitors in Queensland has seen him advise and coordinate high profile matters including:

• Redevelopment of the Queensland Rail site in Cairns into a retail complex. This involved the sale of air space and the negotiation of construction and shared facility agreements.
• The development of several resorts including the $100million Twin Waters Resort on the Sunshine Coast.
• Acting for the developer of Queensland’s first environmentally sustainable cluster development. The housing and unit designs provide for business and domestic use.
• Acting for commercial developers in disputes with building contractors.
• Retail, commercial and industrial leasing including one client’s portfolio of eight commercial properties.
• Acting for developers of residential subdivisions including Meridian Downs Caloundra, Heritage Park Browns Plains, Pebble Beach Bribie Island, Arlington and Golden Rise in Brisbane.
• Acting for tourism industry bodies and owners and managers of hotels & resorts in the development and operation of their hospitality ventures.
• Acting for buyers of several CBD commercial buildings conducting due diligence and purchasing.
• Acting for owners of retail facilities in ongoing leasing arrangements.
Ralph was a member of the committee which reviewed the Body Corporate and Community Management legislation.  Later he was appointed to the committee of Queensland Government Department of Fair Trading which reviewed the Property Agents and Motor Dealers Act 2001 (Property Developer’s Code).
